Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the services of ABEC ("ABEC," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
Services Provided
ABEC provides professional electrical services including but not limited to:
- Electrical inspections and safety assessments
- Residential and commercial electrical repairs
- Lighting installation and upgrades
- Electrical panel upgrades and replacements
- Emergency electrical services (24/7)
- New construction electrical work
- Code compliance and permit services
Licensing and Insurance
ABEC is a licensed electrical contractor (CSLB#1146102) operating in Solano County, California. We maintain appropriate insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation insurance.
Service Appointments
Scheduling
- Appointments can be scheduled via phone, website, or email
- We will confirm all appointments within 24 business hours
- Service windows are typically 2-4 hours
- We will call 30 minutes before arrival when possible
Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Customers may cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a $75 cancellation fee
- Emergency services cannot be rescheduled once dispatched
Estimates and Pricing
- Free estimates are provided for most standard services
- Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued
- Final pricing may vary based on actual conditions and scope of work
- Emergency service rates apply to after-hours calls
- All prices are subject to applicable taxes
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing due to unforeseen circumstances
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise arranged
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
- A service charge may apply for returned checks
- For large projects, we may require a deposit before starting work
- Past due accounts may be subject to interest charges and collection fees
Warranty and Guarantees
Workmanship Warranty
We guarantee our workmanship for seven years from the date of service completion. If any defects in our work are discovered within this period, we will repair them at no additional charge.
Parts and Materials
Parts and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties as well as ABEC's 5-year warranty. We will assist with warranty claims as needed.
Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse or negligence
- Modifications made by others
- Normal wear and tear
- Acts of nature or force majeure events
Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate information about electrical issues
- Ensure safe access to work areas
- Secure pets during service visits
- Clear work areas of personal belongings
- Notify us of any special conditions or hazards
- Comply with any post-service instructions
Permits and Inspections
When required by local codes, we will obtain necessary permits. Permit fees are the responsibility of the customer. Final inspections must be scheduled and passed before projects are considered complete.
Limitation of Liability
ABEC's liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We are not liable for consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profits, or indirect damages arising from our services.
Property Damage
While we take great care to protect your property, minor cosmetic damage may occur during electrical work. We will repair or compensate for any damage caused by our negligence. Pre-existing conditions should be noted before work begins.
Emergency Services
Emergency services are available 24/7 for urgent electrical issues posing immediate safety risks. Emergency rates apply to after-hours, weekend, and holiday calls. Response times vary based on availability and location.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Solano County, California.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal proceedings must be brought in Solano County, California.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
